Advocacy is central to the philosophy of IHC.
The Advocacy Team promotes social change to create a just and equitable world for people with an intellectual disability.
The Advocacy Team works towards change by:
- providing information, support and advice to individuals, families and organisations
- running campaigns to promote improvements in the systems, laws, policies and attitudes that affect the lives of people with an intellectual disability and their families.
Progress - change for the better - will not happen without advocacy.
