Allowances and entitlements - Wednesday, June 27, 2007People with a disability – as defined under the Human Rights Act 1993 and the Social Security Act 1964 – are entitled to receive certain allowances and subsidies. These entitlements are administered by the Ministry of Social Development’s Work and Income office, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.
