Membership is important to IHC. We are a membership organisation and want the support of all New Zealanders to make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
Your membership means we can:
- Involve people with intellectual disabilities:
including their families and every New Zealander with an interest in intellectual disability in how we run our organisation and in what we do.
- Provide services and support:
for people with intellectual disabilities and their families that government doesn’t provide.
- Speak on behalf of all people in New Zealand with intellectual disabilities:
and their families know we have the support of people who are passionate and committed to the rights, welfare and inclusion of all people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
IHC has been reviewing its membership and governance structure. Members are invited to participate and comment on the review.
Join a local Branch Association in your area
IHC has 36 Associations and if you are interested in local IHC activities, events and governance then get involved with your local Association.
This role is varied and you have the opportunity to influence and be part of local priorities and issues.
IHC is often having forums and local events in your community – you are welcome to be part of these.
Local fundraising events are at the heart of IHC’s Community Involvement. Our presence in the Community often comes through the fundraising events that make a big difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. |
