IDEA Services does not provide specialist equipment for mobility or communication to enable the person to work, gain education training, or to be independent around their home. These are funded by the Ministry of Health. IDEA Services will support the person to access equipment funding by requesting an assessment process by a specialised assessor, generally through the NASC.
IDEA Services is responsible for access, such as ramps or any property modifications, required at residential services or at day services.
