IDEA Services ensures everyone using its services has access to good health care. An important part of this is that people have an annual health check carried out by their doctor.
IDEA Services staff will support service users to get to the doctor. The person can choose if they want a staff member to go with them.
When a person we are supporting is very unwell, staff will respect their wishes, and those of their families. If the decision is made that a terminally ill person be cared for in an IDEA Services home, we will work with Needs Assessment and Service Co-ordination agencies and families to arrange this.
