The support needs of people may change as they grow older. If IDEA Services can no longer provide appropriate care, it will help to find other options. The person will be assessed through the Needs Assessment and Service Co-ordination agency and moved to somewhere more suitable.
If a person needs hospital care, families will be consulted.
Funeral arrangements
When a person first moves into an IDEA Services home they will be asked what funeral arrangements they would like. This is an uncomfortable topic, but we need to make sure people get what they want. People may be asked if they would like to join a funeral plan, in which they put aside some money every week for their funeral costs.
When someone dies in IDEA Services care, staff will work with families to arrange the funeral.
If a family has particular cultural requirements, they will be respected. |
