There are several ways IDEA Services works to ensure services are of a high standard, such as:

• feedback from service users
• internal monitoring and auditing including independant financial audit by IHC contracted auditors
• external auditing by funding agencies, for example, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Social Development (Work and Income New Zealand) and Child, Youth and Family Services (CYF) and ACC
• any key points evaluations carried out locally by IHC

Other external audits may be carried out by a range of audit agencies contracted by the particular government funder.
