Staff PrintPrint

The primary responsibility of staff is to support the people who are using the service. Families are encouraged to stay involved and continued contact with family will be supported by staff if the service user and their family want this.

IDEA Services aims to have a stable, skilled and well-trained workforce. It does its best to involve the people it supports and their family on interview panels for new staff. IDEA Services is the employer and final decisions around staff appointments rest with managers, who will take all views into account.

IDEA Services’ managers are responsible for ensuring all staff follow our code of conduct. Staff undergo police checks and are trained and supervised.

Staff roles

Every service user has a key worker who is the family’s first point of contact. The key worker will monitor the progress of goals in personal plans, make sure the service user attends appointments as required and make sure all other staff have access to the required information about the service user.

Community services managers (CSMs) and service so-ordinators are responsible for the day-to-day management of staff and services. Community services workers (CSWs) support service users to achieve their goals.
