Early years

Good support in the early years gives a person the best opportunity for an ordinary life. That’s why IHC makes getting it right for babies and young children a focus of its advocacy activities.

IHC’s advocacy team provides support and information.  We lobby hard for children with disabilities to be welcomed at their local preschool and school because this gives the best start to their learning.

Finding a path through the government-funded systems and services is hard.  IHC provides information and support on how to navigate the system so children get the best access to health, education, and disability services.
