There are small groups of people living in each IDEA Services home, usually no more than five. Families and friends are welcome and encouraged to be part of the person’s life.
Each person has their own bedroom and is encouraged to participate in the running of their home. Regular meetings are held to discuss issues and make decisions about their home.
People are active socially. They might be part of a sports team or enjoy going to cafes, or the movies. They have friends and family over to stay or to share a meal.
Each person living in the house is given the level of support they need, including help with personal care, preparing meals or going out.
People are supported to access other community activities and services, such as leisure, recreation and medical services. We support people to have an annual health check.
