Reminder: Entries open for IHC Art Awards on 1 June

It's just one month to go until entries for the 2017 IHC Art Awards open online on Thursday 1 June 2017.

The IHC Art Awards remain an annual highlight as a showcase for the talent and achievements of people with intellectual disabilities. Entries are open to New Zealanders aged 13 or over regardless of whether they use IHC/IDEA services.

Artworks can be anything from sculptures, photographs, installations and textile art, to painting and drawing, so we encourage everyone to select their best piece from their year's work.

In 2017 we are honoured to have Gina Matchitt and Tim Walker back for another year of Award’s judging and they are joined by Boh Runga who returns to round out our stellar judging line-up.

We would like to once again thank our IHC Art Awards Ambassador, Denise L’Estrange-Corbet, who has been up and down New Zealand encouraging artists to get involved with this year's Awards.

We are expecting another overwhelming response from New Zealand’s talented artists so make sure to have your entries in for the Art Awards before they close on Friday 30 June.

Further information on the IHC Art Awards including entry criteria and how to enter your artwork online is available on the Art Awards page of the IHC website: http://ihc.org.nz/events/art-awards
