In its 75 years IHC has done much to improve the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
But the data is telling us people could be doing a lot better.
It’s time to rethink and reset.
We’re developing a new long-term strategy for IHC. This strategy will guide how we deliver services, advocate for change, support whānau, and build inclusive communities. It’s about making sure we stay focused on what matters most: people.
Consultation
The first step is consultation - giving New Zealanders the chance to help shape the future direction of our work. Everyone’s voice matters, from the people we support and IHC Members, family members and donors, to staff and partner organisations.
What we’re asking
We’re asking for input on what IHC should focus on, improve or do differently. We want to know:
- What’s working well?
- What could be better?
- What’s missing?
- What would make the biggest difference to people with intellectual disabilities?
